Running is such a rewarding and interesting hobby to have. As it is an individual sport and requires you to test yourself and improve your own times, it is a great way of pushing yourself to achieve new goals.
For those who are not experienced runners, starting your running journey can feel quite daunting. There are so many different aspects of running to consider, from the best shoes and accessories to purchase, to improving your times, and the effects running has on the body.
This is why I have decided to set up this blog, to educate others on running, and how to carry out this hobby successfully. My name is Andy Jones, and I have been a running enthusiast for the last 15 years. I first started running when I was 25 years old, and agreed to run a half-marathon for charity. This was the first time I had ever run long distance, and it certainly was an experience I will never forget.
While it was tough, it was so rewarding, and I quickly fell in love with running. I also noticed how much it impacted my mental and physical health in a positive way. After completing the half-marathon, I decided to push myself to beat my time, and compete in full marathons too.
My passion is to teach others the correct running techniques, and to help educate them on the best accessories, shoes and clothing that can be purchased. I hope this blog will help to encourage others to persevere and try running for the first time.
