Little Creek Trail<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Distance – 24.9km<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This trail starts by going along the banks of the Little River, which is a tributary of the French Broad River. It’s a long trail and we do not recommend this for beginners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are looking to run a small part of it then make sure you come prepared. You should bring plenty of water, food, and energy gels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be careful on this trail because it goes over rocks and roots.

Little Creek Falls Trail<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Distance – 4.5km<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This trail takes you to a beautiful waterfall near the town of Hot Springs. It’s a lot shorter than some of the other trails on this list, so it’s great for beginners. You can access this trail from the parking lot next to the falls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the parking lot, head down the hill and cross the stream. Follow the path until you reach a wooden boardwalk. Take the steps leading to the falls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This trail is not very steep, but it does require you to climb a few stairs. On this trail, you will get views of the river and surrounding mountains, which will no doubt inspire you as you run! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mill Run Trail<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Distance – 6.7km<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mill Run Trail is one of the most popular hiking trails in Black Mountain. It’s a very scenic trail that follows the banks of the French Broad River, giving you views of the surrounding forests and fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the parking lot, walk down the hill and turn left onto Mill Run Road. Keep following the signs for Mill Run Trail until you reach a fork in the road. Go right and follow the signs for Mill Run and you’ll be able to start your trail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a fairly short trail, though it is quite steep in parts. It’s recommended for those who want to go for a run with some of the most gorgeous views around!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
